How does Invisalign® treatment work?

When you come to SmileLux for your initial consultation, we will examine your smile to see if Invisalign® treatment is right for you. Using our Trios Digital Scanner, we will create an accurate virtual model of your smile. This model will be used to design a series of custom clear aligners for you.

Each set of Invisalign® aligners is shaped slightly differently to guide your teeth gradually into alignment. You can even remove your Invisalign® clear aligners for meals, dental hygiene or important events.

Instead of coming to our practice for adjustments, you’ll switch to a new aligner set every two weeks from the comfort of home. You can even use the Dental Monitoring app for virtual check-ins with Dr. Sunil Hirani from wherever you are.

Invisalign® treatment for teens

Invisalign® treatment is a great option for teens who don’t want their treatment on display. Because the aligners are removable, teenagers can enjoy sports and musical instrument practice without restrictions. They can also remove their aligners for easier brushing and flossing.

Your teen’s aligners will feature wear-indicators that fade from blue to clear when your teen has worn them for the allotted 22 hours per day. This will help your teenager keep track of their treatment.
