How do metal braces work?
Metal braces work with a system of brackets and archwires. A bracket is fixed to each individual tooth. Then, the metal archwire is threaded through them and held in place with small elastics. These elastics come in many colours - so you can customise your treatment to suit your style!
Your Specialist Orthodontist will adjust your archwire and elastics to put gentle pressure on your teeth. Slowly, over several months of adjustment appointments, your teeth will start moving into proper alignment.
